Ministry in The Bella Coola Valley

And there are diversities of gifts, but the same God who works all in all. –1 Corinthians 12:6  

This scripture was so eloquently displayed this past week in Bella Coola by 29 dedicated and hard working youth and families.  Each one did more than humanely possible because GOD WAS WORKING THROUGH US!! 
 
Will Go Missions and Five Stones Church teamed together to bring His love to groups and individuals all across the valley.  Our unity, prayers, and acts of service made a greater impact than we could see with just our eyes. 

Though our 6 days were filled with many different labors, the smiles and love we received from the Nuxalk people was indeed our THANK YOU! Over 150 children and families enjoyed the Carnival. 500 prizes quickly disappeared as the kids played and played!

Whether we powered through a "jungle" of grass, cleaned a flooded basement, or emptied a garage of $67 worth of bottles and cans, it was all just part of His plan to show His love.  Each family was extremely grateful for the help.  In many case, the families were elderly or had a disability that prevented them from physical labors.

Hours of cleaning, scraping, sanding and painting by more than 21 people made a drastic change in the new Bella Coola Prayer and Healing Center.  This home, built around 1933 is well remembered by the elders and will once again be a gathering place for prayer, Bible study,  fellowship, and a safe haven for new Christians.  The ministry is led by Pastor Jim and Corine Berta. 

The local church was enhanced by a new sign, nursery painted and decorated, hallway & outer doors painted, new library set up, and social media enhanced.  A movie night, flagging and church service, community BBQ, and the Heavenly/Potlatch Banquet filled our evenings.  Some people received Jesus and others recommitted their lives to the Lord.  ETERNITY was our motivation! May the fruit remain.
