The opportunity has come to open a kindergarten in HoChiMin City (Saigon). We have the government connections and local believers on the ground to make this a reality.       The Silk Road Kindergartners
For sometime, we have wanted to expand into the country of Vietnam. During our first trip in 2010, we met with government leaders in Hanoi (Administrator for North American NGO's) who warmly welcomed us. We also explored other works there and attended the Hanoi Christian Fellowship. However, we did not feel led to jump in right away, but to keep praying.
In 2011, we received an invitation to look at Kindergartens in Saigon (Ho Chi Min City). We visited 2 separate works and immediately felt this is one of the best ways to touch hearts and change lives. The vision: Set up Kindergartens along the Silk Road to IMPACT CHILDREN AT AN EARLY AGE WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. The tools are in place, not only with the government, but with other Christians inside the country. We believe 2012 is the just the right time to establish our first school. Cost: $20,000 This includes set-up, renovation, and operation for one year. After 3 years, it is self-supporting. God continues to open doors and stretch our faith. Our heart is to have a greater impact in this world, so that people all over the globe will see and feel the power of God's love in their hearts and lives! This trip includes: Visits to kindergartens in Saigon and meeting the boat children of the Mekong Delta. We are collecting school supplies and making book bags for these kids.
In China, we will travel to remote areas of Yunnan province where nearly 500 children will enjoy painting on their own new T-shirt as well as receiving many treats from the visiting team. We will also hold "Our Family" classes for the women of these remote villages. This includes hygenic helps as well as tips on raising your family in this changing world. Eight people have confirmed for this trip; there is still more room!! How about YOU!!
