1992 - the start of Will Go
In 1992, Larry and Jean Johnson founded Will Go after graduating from Victory World Missions Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Initially, Larry traveled to India and Russia helping a video ministry. In 1993, they joined the Victory team to teach in the Bible school in Albania. In 1994, they began pastoring the church and pioneered children’s “home” groups throughout Tirane.
1996 - Mainland China
What an honor to be recognized by the Central Government for our work with the elderly. For two years, they documented our lives and Geriatric Seminars and then aired the program several times on BTV (Beijing). Building an elementary school in Shandong, funding new playgrounds, hosting creative art events, and giving health lessons for school children and migrants (especially during SARS) were welcomed.
2004 - Canada West
A prophetic word and vision brought us to Vancouver, Canada to help with a church plant. Dream Center, Vancouver added new ministry for immigrant families, youth, and meals for the eastside homeless. God also opened the door to the Nuxalk First Nations of Bella Coola, BC. Prayer is our foundation and the weekly Will Go Fellowship our spiritual heart and hands for action.
2009 - Liberia
God expanded our outreach to include Liberia, West Africa. We began building new Christian elementary schools and initiated lunch programs for the children. A well was dug in a remote village bringing relief and better health to hundreds. WGSM Bible School continues to raise up Christian leaders.
2010 - Vietnam
Vietnam was added to our vision to reach the world for Jesus. Like our ministries in China and Africa, Will Go focused on educational helps and programs for children. We also hope our ministry on the Mekong Delta will bring everlasting fruit.
2011 - Nigeria
An invitation to minister in Nigeria began our partnership of helps for single moms, widows, and children. Another well was dug in 2012, a Christmas present to hundreds! We are excited about adding youth conferences, praying for many souls.
2012 - Canada East
Our tent stakes expanded to Windsor, Ontario, enabling WG East to minister in Detroit, MI. Prayer walks, serving in halfway houses for recovering addicts, carnivals and holiday events for children, and preaching in churches have given us opportunities to speak hope. Jesus is still the answer!
2016 - Cuba
What joy to minister in Cuba. Conferences, women’s and children’s events, and multiple helps for the body of Christ have brought glory to God! We even participated in the Havana Marathon. God continues to open new avenues to share His Word!
