04 Remote Villages
Solo Village is a 12 hour ride from the capital through the forest on dirt roads built by logging companies. It has 400 homes with over 3000 people. During our first visit in 2017, the villagers showed us land they had levelled, with the logging company's help. They faithfully believed that God would provide the school they needed, because the closest one was a 2 hour walk - one way!
In March 2019, after 2.5 years, we raised the funds to complete the school building. It can accommodate up to 400 students. Glory to God! |
David's Village: We first visited David's village in 2017, which is 3 hours from Solo village. Though it only has 10 families, God sent missionaries who shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today they are all believers! Since the village is so isolated, they seldom have visitors. We are humbled and thankful that God would send us from afar to have fellowship, encourage each other, and worship Him together.
The villagers also need a well so that they could have access to clean water. We will review their proposal. |
Collartree has 150 villagers who are mainly hunters. They welcomed us with open arms and it was such a joy to join their worship and encourage each other with the word of God.
Currently, they have a semi completed community/ school /church building on their land. Pray with us in the best way to help them...children deserve education, believers are hoping for a church building. |
